HERE’S A GREAT EMAIL I RECEIVED FROM A PATIENT EXPLAINING HOW HER CUSTOMIZED NUTRITION PROGRAM HAS CHANGED THE WAY SHE VIEW’S HAVING TO MAKE THE TIME FOR HER HEALTH… Enjoy!
So, on my journey to better health I am still having those “AHA” moments. Even now after several months of “doing” this. It is funny how things change (for the better might I add!!!).
Well lets look at what I would not have gone without before:
- Sleeping pills
- My Car
Now the most important things in my life are:
- Almond butter
- Anything coconut
- My turqois BPAfree water bottle that goes where ever I do constantly filled with filtered water.
- Resources like www.Marksdailyapple.com, www.paleoplan.com, www.primalblueprint.com, Mark’s Daily Apple Primal 101, www.dailyplate.com, etc
- Oh so many, way too many to list, but you get the picture….
And then it just happened. I logged my food at www.dailyplate.com and logged my cycle at www.mymonthlycycles.com and things just came together. If for any reason I didn’t feel well …I just went back and looked over what I ate that day and was able to change it the next. It’s called fine tuning…maybe I felt bloated for no reason what so ever….I could go to where I logged my cycle and could see that I was ovulating. Stuff like that. It has become second nature. Now no more anxieties or worries about so many things. Because I have tools. Tools that make me feel secure, smart and healthy.
Not afraid and anxiety riddled and victimized by food or my body. No more of that stuff….now most of the time…I know exactly what’s going on 🙂 And that is a great feeling. First I was so worried cause it seemed like a lot of work….not that I am lazy its just….well I had to invest some time and effort in to ME. So first I felt silly for caring enough about me, for taking my ailments seriously enough to go and have them looked at and healed.
Then after a while it was a back and fourth struggle. I care, i don’t care, I care, its easier to just not care. excuses, excuses, excuses…..believe me I had thought of them all and then some…
The thing is…when you get stronger and healthier with that comes change. So when you get stronger and healthier as a person then change happens. It has to and for most of us change is scary. Your feelings about yourself change. Most likely people are starting to look at you differently because ur doing something different.
YOU are taking charge of your health. And that is never a bad thing.
But then it all comes back to the same thing or thought. How important are we to ourselves??
- do you take care of your children??
- How about your husband???
- Oh and the house or your apt????
- Most of us have pets. Do we take care of them??? Lord, I take better care of my chickens then I used to of myself and my health.
Bottom line is, we have to care for us.
Now next question is ….do I care enough to move this body??? lolol
Oh yes and in case your wondering I still like my coffee and my beer (heck its a food group as far as I am concerned lolol) but it is not a priority anymore. I can go without and not bat an eyelash.
Now I am looking for ways to feel better!!
i.e. eat right , sleep right, go walking. stuff like that….soon I will add weight lifting workouts to my exercise routine. And its not because I have to, its because I want to. I feel good!!!!
