Ground Beef and Turnip Skillet

A savory ground beef and turnip skillet with colorful peppers, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Ground Beef
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Pepper
  • 1 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 lb. Turnips, Peeled and Diced
  • ⅓ cup Green Peppers, Diced
  • ⅓ cup Red Peppers, Diced
  • ⅓ cup Scallos, Diced
  • ½ tsp. Garlic
  • 2 Medium Tomatoes, Chopped
  • ½ cup Low Sodium Beef Broth
  • 1 tbsp. Tamari

Preparation

Step 1

Heat a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the ground beef, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, add olive oil, turnips, green and red peppers, scallions, and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes until softened.

Step 4

Stir in the chopped tomatoes and beef broth. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes.

Step 5

Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Add tamari and mix well. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until everything is well combined.

Step 6

Remove from heat and serve warm. Enjoy!
