
Herbed Sardines
A zesty and herb-packed sardine dish that’s fresh, flavorful, and ready in minutes

Ingredients
- 1 can (4.35 oz) Sardines (In water or olive oil)
- 1 Lemon, Juice and Zest
- 1–4 tbsp Red Onion or Scallion, Chopped (Start with 1 tbsp, adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp. Fresh Herbs (like parsley, basil, or mint)
- 1 tsp. Olive Oil (only if sardines are in water)
- 1 tsp. Dijon Mustard
- To taste Salt

Preparation
Step 1
Drain the sardines if they’re packed in water.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine sardines, lemon juice and zest, chopped onion, herbs, olive oil (if using), mustard, and salt.
Step 3
Gently mix with a fork, breaking the sardines into chunks.
Step 4
Taste and adjust lemon or salt if needed.
