Portabella Mushroom Steaks
Meaty portabella mushrooms marinated in balsamic and herbs then pan-seared to perfection for a rich, savory, and deeply satisfying dish.
Allowed for Ideal Protein phases 1 to 3.

Ingredients
- 2 Portabella Mushrooms, stems removed and wiped clean
- 2 tbsp. Ideal Protein Balsamic Vinegar
- ½ tbsp. Olive Oil
- ½ tbsp. Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp. Dried Rosemary
- ½ tsp. Garlic Powder
- Salt and Pepper, to taste

Preparation
Step 1
In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, soy sauce, rosemary, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Step 2
Place portabella mushrooms in a shallow dish and brush both sides generously with the marinade.
Step 3
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
Step 4
Cook mushrooms cap-side down for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook another 4–5 minutes until tender and lightly caramelized.
Step 5
Remove from heat and serve warm.
