Spicy Tomato Sauce

A bold and zesty sauce bursting with roasted cherry tomatoes and jalapeño heat—perfect for drizzling, dipping, or layering!

Allowed for Ideal Protein phases 1 to 3.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Cherry Tomatoes, Stems Removed
  • 2 Jalapeño Peppers, Seeds Removed and Halved
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • ½ tsp. Onion Powder
  • ⅓ cup Fresh Basil
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

Spread cherry tomatoes, jalapeños, and garlic on a baking sheet.

Step 3

Transfer roasted ingredients to a blender or food processor.

Step 4

Add onion powder, fresh basil, salt, and pepper.

Step 5

Blend until smooth and creamy.

Step 6

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Step 7

Serve warm or chilled as a sauce. Enjoy!
