Sriracha

Add a fiery kick to your dishes with this homemade Sriracha, bursting with bold jalapeño and garlic flavors.

Allowed for Ideal Protein phases 1 to 3.

Ingredients

  • ½ lb. Fresh Red Jalapeno Peppers
  • 8 Garlic Cloves, Peeled and Smashed
  • ⅓ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. Tomato Paste
  • 3 tbsp. Walden Farms or Ideal Protein Pancake Syrup
  • 2 tbsp. Fish Sauce (No Sugar)
  • ½ tsp. Salt

Preparation

Step 1

Wash the red jalapeño peppers and roughly chop them.

Step 2

In a blender, add all the ingredients and blend until smooth.

Step 3

For a deeper flavor, pour the blended mixture into a small saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Stir occasionally and let it cook for about 5 minutes.

Step 4

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the sauce cool to room temperature.

Step 5

Transfer the sauce to a jar and refrigerate for at least an hour to let the flavors blend.

Step 6

Serve as a spicy condiment or side dish. Enjoy!
