Steak and Turnip Foil Packet
Juicy steak cubes and tender turnips cooked in a fragrant herb‑garlic foil packet for a simple and comforting savory meal.
Allowed for Ideal Protein phases 1 to 3.

Ingredients
- 4–6 oz Lean Steak, cut into cubes
- 2 cups Turnips, peeled and diced small
- 1 tsp. Olive Oil or Cooking Spray
- 1 Garlic Clove, minced
- Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
- ¼ tsp. Dried Thyme or Rosemary
- Optional: Red Pepper Flakes

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Step 2
Place steak cubes and diced turnips in a bowl. Add olive oil, garlic, salt, black pepper, thyme (or rosemary), and red pepper flakes if using. Toss well to coat.
Step 3
Transfer the mixture onto a large sheet of aluminum foil. Fold the foil over the ingredients and seal tightly to form a packet.
Step 4
Place the foil packet on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, until steak is cooked and turnips are tender.
Step 5
Carefully open the packet (watch for steam) and serve immediately.
