Turkey Chili
A hearty, protein-packed turkey chili simmered with tomatoes, spices, and tender zucchini — warming, bold, and perfect for a satisfying main dish.
Allowed for Ideal Protein phases 1 to 3.

Ingredients
- ¼ cup Olive Oil
- 1½ lbs. Ground Turkey
- 4 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 15 oz. (1¾ cups) Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 cup Water
- 6 oz. Tomato Paste
- 2 tbsp. Chili Powder
- 2 tsp. Ground Cumin
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Onion Powder
- 1 tsp. Red Pepper Chili Flakes (More if you like it spicy)
- 1 Medium Zucchini, Diced

Preparation
Step 1
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Step 2
Add ground turkey and cook 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart until no longer pink.
Step 3
Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 4
Stir in crushed tomatoes, water, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, salt, onion powder, and chili flakes.
Step 5
Add diced zucchini and mix well.
Step 6
Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Cook uncovered for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick and flavorful.
Step 7
Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve warm.
