Blanched Green Beans

Blanched green beans are a quick and easy way to cook fresh green beans while retaining their bright color and crisp texture. They’re perfect for adding to salads, stir-fries, or as a healthy side dish.

  • 8 Oz Green Beans, Trimmed
  • To Taste Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
  • To Taste Black Pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add 1 tsp. salt.

Step 2

Add the green beans to the boiling water and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Drain the green beans and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.

Step 4

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 5

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.

Step 6

Add the green beans to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes or until heated through.

Step 7

Season with black pepper to taste.

Step 8

Serve hot as a side dish. Enjoy!
