Our Survivors recently put on a free public workshop on the topic for Nutrition/Diabetes. We are proud to have BioIntelligent Wellness Nikolic as our speaker. Her presentation & expertise knowledge she shared, has given us new ideas to change our ways in eating, & living a healthy life. We had a role play on what we usually eat, & she opened our eyes in the importance of balancing our intake by either adding, or removing certain foods to level our daily meals. She mentioned that exercise is of great importance but you don’t have to push yourself but do it gradually. It was a wonderful experience to find out a lot about our bodies & how to prevent getting diabetes, or change our diets for those who are diabetic. Also to know that if we do this change we may be able to stop taking our diabetic medications. We are truly grateful for her & look forward to working with her again.
