Sugar Reduction and Protein Increase Changes Her Relationship With Food
Julianna is amazing to work with. She helped me to change habits that I had convinced myself would never change. Before working with Julianna, I enjoyed 3 to 5 cups of my morning coffee with vanilla creamer…usually with more than one serving of sugary Coffeemate in each cup. While I knew how many extra calories I was consuming, I never thought about the implications of all that sugar being the first thing I put in my body. Julianna convinced me to give Vanilla Stevia a shot and after a few days I decided that it was a good enough replacement…even though for the first 30 days, I really missed the creaminess of the sugary creamer. Julianna told me I could try adding unsweetened Coconut Milk, which I did for a bit before deciding that really I was fine with just the Stevia. In the few instances where I’ve thought I would have a “treat” and have one cup of coffee with Coffeemate (like on a Sunday morning when I’m lounging around reading), I’ve found that it’s actually too sweet and I dump it out. Black Coffee with Stevia is the new me!
It has been almost a year since Julianna helped me make this change (along with making protein the first thing that goes into my body in the morning…either via a protein shake or a few nuts!) and now I only drink 2 cups of coffee with Vanilla Stevia every day. While this seems like a minor achievement to some, it’s been a habit of mine for over 15 years and this change really impacted my beliefs about what I could and couldn’t change about myself and my relationship with food. I’ve even considered giving up coffee completely…which if you would have asked me a year ago if that was ever possible I would have laughed and told you “absolutely not…never going to happen!”. Julianna’s approach was exactly what I needed to open the door to real, lifelong change to a NUMBER of my very longstanding, unhealthy eating habits. I will be forever grateful to her for finally getting me to get my butt through that door!! Also, with the foundation she helped me create, I’ve been able to lose 40lbs (and still going!)!
