Buffalo Style Green Beans
Buffalo Style Green Beans are a spicy twist on the classic green bean side dish. Blanched green beans are tossed in buffalo sauce and served as a flavorful and easy appetizer or snack.
Allowed for Ideal Protein phases 1 to 3.

- 2 Tsp. Olive Oil
- 1 Tbsp. Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
- 2 Tsp. Hot Pepper Sauce
- 2 Plum Tomatoes, Diced
- 2 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
- 1/2 lb Green Snap Beans, Trimmed
- Black Pepper – To Taste
- Salt – To Taste
Preparation
Step 1
Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add the trimmed green snap beans to the boiling water, and cook for 2-3 minutes, until they are slightly tender. Drain the green beans and set them aside.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, hot pepper sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and table salt. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
Step 3
Add the cooked green snap beans to the mixing bowl, and toss them with the sauce mixture until they are well coated.
Step 4
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once heated, add the coated green snap beans to the skillet and cook them for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are slightly charred and crispy.
Step 5
Once cooked, remove the skillet from heat and transfer the green snap beans to a serving dish.
Step 6
Top the green snap beans with the diced plum tomatoes and serve as a spicy and flavorful side dish.
