Ingredients
- 1 Head of Green Cabbage, Cut Into 1-inch Slices
- 1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
- ½ Cup Tomato Sauce
- ½ Cup Shredded Cheese (Mozzarella, Monterey Jack), Divided (Maintenance Only)
- ½ Tsp. Salt and Black Pepper
- ½ Tsp. Red Chili Pepper Flakes
- 1 Tsp. Grated Garlic
- ½ Cup Chopped Green Onion
- ½ Cup Chopped Parsley

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 400ÂşF (200ÂşC). Arrange the cabbage slices on a rimmed sheet pan. Brush a little oil on the cabbage slices and season with salt and pepper.
Step 2Â
Roast the cabbage slices in the oven for about 10 minutes so they get precooked.
Step 3Â
In the meantime, combine the lean ground beef with garlic, green onion, parsley, red chili pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Divide the mixture into four beef patties.
Step 4Â
Remove cabbage from the oven, then spread a tablespoon of tomato sauce on top and then top with a beef pattie. Put another layer of tomato sauce on the burger (sprinkle a layer of shredded cheese if in maintenance).
Step 5Â
Bake the cabbage beef burgers in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the burgers are done to your liking and top with fresh herbs.Â
